Xibei Company Of Petrochina Management Information System Of The Lanchengyu-Pipeline

Based on the project of LanChengYu(LCY)-pipeline of Xibei Company, Petro China, this thesis analyzes and designs the management information system of the LanChengYu-pipeline (LCYMIS), which is the research fruit of this thesis.As a north-south petroleum artery, LCY-pipeline is the longest and widest one and with the highest pressure for petroleum transport in present China. Therefore, the LCYMIS is vital for the sound working of the pipeline and that's why this thesis is written.The philosophy behind this thesis is: it is based on the company's status quo and combined with the company's current platform and system to achieve the most suitable applied system with the best technology, hence maximize the company's benefit and realize the deserved value of LCYMIS rather than merely pursue the best software theory and technology. This thesis covers LCYMIS' requirement analysis, entire design, data model analysis design, specific design, system test, system implementation and the system's practical working after it is put into use. The thesis focuses on the system's analysis and design. And so far as its test, implementation and practical working are concerned, this thesis just gives a brief introduction about them. By analyzing the company's status quo and studying kinds of software design scheme, the system adopts a mature Client/Server(C/S) system structure. And it further proposes a "similar-thin-client" pattern, which inherits the advantages of the system structure and gets rid of its weaknesses, and provides a sound basis for the development and running of LCYMIS.This thesis is composed of six chapters. Chapter One ,i.e. the preface, mainly introduces the research background, research method , the train of thought of LCY-pipeline and the research situation both home and abroad. Chapter Two is a further introduction about LCY-pipeline and its requirement analysis. It also briefly describes the organization pattern of Xibei Company, clarifies the target and range of the system, analyzes the functional requirement, data interface and capability requirement, and it regulates the system interface and the visit means. Chapter Three is about the entire design. It includes: running environment, the design of system structure, the design of overall structure, the regulation of information code, the design of system interface, the analysis and design of data model and illustrates the data struct and the relationship between the data, etc. Chapter Four deals with the specific system design and implementation, which just involves in the part worked by the writer. Chapter Five introduces the correlative test of LCYMIS and the consequences after running the system, and gives some examples about the feedback from the clients. Chapter Six summarizes the thesis and affirms some correlative points and puts forwards to some questions as well.
