GSM mobile communication network was founded in Europe at late 1980s. The first GSM base station of Guangxi post and telecommunications system was opened in second half of Year 1995. After entering 20th Century, GSM mobile communication business had developed from initially upscale consumption to popular usage; especially in recent years, it grows more swiftly. China Mobile Communication Network experienced high speed development period, and steps gradually into stable and mature period. In the GSM mobile communications network of Guangxi Mobile Company, with constant changes of market prices and demands, and the affection by increasing subterranean lottery and holidays, GSM Mobile Communication Network in Guangxi Mobile Co. has inevitably met intensive calls at some areas or even the whole network in certain special times, especially traditional holidays, due to the limited network investment scale. The intensive calls has approached or even overloaded the calls capacity as programmed. It directly influences the network service quality, and causes a lot of following complaints from GSM users, which impacts on the service quality of Mobile businesses.I participated in the construction and opening of the first GSM base station of Qinzhou area, Guangxi in 1995. For over 10 years I have been distributed into the programming, designing, network maintaining and optimizing of GSM Mobile Communications Network, got some familiarity on certain techniques and network optimization of GSM Mobile Communication Network, and accumulated certain experience on handling intensive calls. After 2004, the GSM mobile communications network users in Guangxi Mobile Co. increased and the calls enlarges so much that, it often made call Congestion in partial areas or sometimes the whole network. I will start from the current situation of GSM Communications Network in Guangxi Mobile Co., analyze the reasons for intensive calls of Guangxi GSM mobile communications network, illustrate the affection of intensive calls to network operation in GSM Mobile Communication Network, systematically conclude the solutions for intensive calls of GSM mobile communications network in the network operation department of Guangxi Mobile Co. since 2004. In the dissertation, I did a research for Trunk communications theories such as Traffic capacity and QOS Controlling during intensive calls period in GSM Mobile communications network especially in the important holidays, severe natural disasters and great social activities; on the call Congestion Control techniques, switching techniques, handover techniques, and their adjusted handover parameters, adjusted carrier frequency numbers, half-rate traffic channel opening; on using emergency communications equipments, installing indoor distribution systems, adjusting tie trunk numbers; I gained certain practical produtions, and would like here to discuss on the future intensive calls solution techniques in GSM mobile communications network and its practical applications.
