ElectroMagnetic Compatibility(EMC) is one of the important research aspects of Power Line Communications(PLC) technology. Research and clarify the influence of PLC to EM environment, resolve the EMC problem from PLC, can give good support for the development and application of PLC technology.This paper analyzed the electromagnetic question of the PLC technology, according to the characteristic of PLC and the basic theoretics of EMC. This paper designed and implemented the simulation measurement system software for evaluating the EM environment influence from PLC. The simulation software was. coded by the script development kit ES-K2.Based on the measurement results of different devices, this simulation system can calculate and emulate the EM environment of residential or commercial places which has PLC network application.During the research and development, this paper also analysed the measurement method of conducted electromagnetic emission, gave the appropriate test and evalution method for conducted emission measurement, measured and analysed the electromagnetic emission of PLC devices and network in different conditions. The measurement results provided the basic data for the simulation software, improved the accuracy of the software. This paper also summarized the EMC standardization status of PLC and gave some suggestion for the standardization work.
