In this paper, the problems existed in traditional network service are introduced at first. The demands for fixed network intelligence have been advanced and created by network users for fixed operators. And then techniques and steps of the evolution from PSTN to NGN are discussed. The Softswitch technology can assist in actualizing network intelligence. The architecture, key techniques of kinds of solution is mainly focused. Lastly, implement project design based on Softswitch is studied for many aspects. Conclusively the network intelligence solution based on the Softswitch technology is advantageous in that it can expand the range of telecom services, and promotes the convergence of fixed and mobile networks.
