With the development of military technology, the traditional radar training methods are difficult to adapt the modern war, especially under the conditions of highly cold mountainous region, the cold weather, lack of oxygen, lower mobility of radar and no real training targets bring to much trouble to the training of radar scout. Because of the economic, repetitious, highly efficient and safe virtues of the simulation technology, it's becoming an import means for our weapon research and technical training now. Adopting simulation technology to carry out Radar operation training has great meaning for us to improve Radar scout training level under the highly cold conditions.Based on the research of High Level Architecture's specification and the services of Run Time Infrastructure, this paper focuses on our army's characteristics, such as lower mobility in the highly cold region, many middle and long distance shells, high frequency of acting target in the air and strong electromagnetic disturbance, etc. it carries out research on the Radar training simulation system and presents the structure and schema of the Radar simulation system. This paper builds a system simulation model based on HLA by using Radar as main part and plane, missile and shell as target. This model provides a new training method for improving Radar training level in the highly cold region.The main work and innovations as follow:First, this paper presents the whole thoughts of Radar simulation system, critical problem and solution method and provides the design schema for the Radar scout simulation system in the highly cold region.Second, this paper deeply researches on the principle of Radar scouting, builds the simulation model of Radar scout under the condition which has disturbance or no disturbance, presents those models, such as self-defense noise disturbance, long-distance support disturbance, transmitting style disturbance, response style model and disturbance signal model under no source disturbance.Third, according to the radar configuration requirement of our army's high altitude battlefield and the situation our army's weapon equipment and personnel, the paper builds the suitable radar, missile and aircraft model. We can construct a Radar simulation system, if we implement those models into federate. Finally, the paper gives the summary of this subject and the expectation of the future's work.
