If a control systems composed of multiple subsystems is too complex that it's difficult to simulate the control system in one node, we need to use multiple computers in the network carrying out distributed simulation. The concurrency brought by distributed co-simulation improves the efficiency, and this way will make it probable to use more complex and accurate model, which make the simulation system more in line with the actual physical system and improve the confidence of simulation results also.Distributed simulation technology developed Since the eighties of last century matures slowly. With the proposing of HLA technology the unification, standardization and interoperability of distributed simulation Have reached a very high level. HLA does not consider the construction work of simulation application system (ie, the federal member). It focuses on how to integrate the federal on the basis of federal members. That is HLA mainly solve the problem of interaction not construction and operation of each simulation system. This paper studied the Application Method of HLA technology and important distributed simulation mechanism like time management and how to realize distributed simulation using simulink control model in support of RTI. The design, development information management and communications of federate, HLA interface, management of simulation data were all included in this research. The development of federate was achieved in vc++ environment. In the design of complex industrial products the joint design/simulation problems especially the co-simulation between control and mechanical engineering need to be solved. In this paper, the distributed collaborative simulation between virtual prototype model of ADAMS and SIMULINK controller was studied, and a distributed simulation environment for interdisciplinary on the application of HLA technology was proposed. Simulation models of two different disciplines were packaged in their federation members and Multi-node distributed co-simulation was carried out on the support of RTI. A sample was given in chapter 5, which Verified the feasibility of this method.
