Distributed simulation technology makes use of standard agreement and it enables different simulations which are located in different places to connect and form a simulation system. The simulation applications based on High Level Architecture have better interoperability and reusability. At present, more and more military simulations use HLA.The simulation system includes the guidance federate, the control federate, the missile body federate, the management federate and the display federate. The management federate is responsible to coordinate all federates and control the simulation process.This paper especially focuses on the application of HLA in this project. It designs the federation object module and describes the data exchange of all federates; callback queues are used to solve the thread safe problem which will be encountered when the application system is based on an RTI with a multi-threaded process model; classes of every simulation application are designed on the base of callback queues; the implementation of the resolution module for equations of motion of missile body federate and the management federate are described in this paper, and the resolution module makes use of GNU Scientific Library to solve the equations of motion and the management federate coordinates the federation through the management object classes and the synchronization point technology of the HLA interface specification.
