| SysML is a new visual modeling language for Systems Engineering, which combines the advantages of classic structured method and object-oriented method to support specification, analysis, design, verification and validation of complex systems. Using DoDAF standard as a reference, the thesis presents an architecture design method based on SysML and illustrates a complete products design process with a specific example. The thesis firstly introduces DoDAF standard and related architecture design methods, mainly describing the core processes of the most popular structured analysis method and UML object-oriented method. Then all models defined in SysML version 1.0a are introduced, focusing on the usage of extended block diagram and activity diagram. To combine SysML with DoDAF standard, the notational support of SysML on DoDAF products is firstly analyzed. Through analysis of added and extended diagrams in SysML, it is proved that this modeling language provide more sufficient support for the DoDAF products representation than UML. SysML unifies various representations in Systems Engineering, and meanwhile eliminates the deficiencies of UML in the representation of system hierarchical structure and complex behavior. In the important part of the thesis, a SysML-based architecture design method is proposed, which combines the function-driven of structured method and object-oriented idea of UML. With object-oriented method as essential idea, the enhanced features of block diagram and activity diagram are applied to emphasize the modular functional architecture design, which includes system-level black-box analysis and detail-level white-box analysis. An example of AI (Air Interception) system is used to illustrate the whole products design process, which graphically shows the application of SysML models and mechanisms in architecture design. The process integrates functional and object modeling, and furthermore, it's an object-oriented function-driven Systems Engineering process. |
