Research And Development Of The Embedded Mobile Communication Terminal Based On WINCE

In recent years, along with the constant innovations in computer and electronic technology, embedded system obtains considerable development. The advantages of small size, stability, high degree of automation, good real-time performance, etc. make the embedded system widely used in many fields. Mobile communication technology is similar. Its mobility, flexibility, no restrictions in time and place, those characteristics are affecting every aspect of people's life. In China, the military vehicles are still taking radio as the primary means of communication. Compare with the CDMA, GPRS, it is obviously lagging behind, whatever in transmission speed, efficiency or safety. However, U.S and other countries that are well armed in military, have already apply wireless communication technology in the field of military communication, for instance, the CDMA. So, to develop a mobile communication systems based on CDMA/GPRS technology has great military significance. According to a military research mission, we carry out the relevant research. The ultimate goal is to develop a special mobile communication terminal based on CDMA technology and it takes the Windows CE as the system platform. The main work can be described in follow aspects:1. The paper had researched the embedded system, introduced the core features of the Windows CE OS and analyzed the structure of the Windows CE OS.2. According to the communication needs of military vehicles, proposed the design options of the embedded mobile communication terminal which is based on CDMA technology.3. Researched the core developing methods of Windows CE and applied those methods in the project development.4. With the depth study of communication-adapter's principle, designed a CDMA-TDMA adapt plan.5. Researched the key technology of voice coding and compression.6. Participated in the software development of embedded mobile communication terminal system, accomplished part of programming work, and realized the arithmetic which is mentioned in the paper.
