SDSM Operating System (Single Data Storage Model Operating System) has combined the characteristics of traditional operating system, the single address space operating system and the permanent operating system, it uses merits of other operating system, develops into a kind of new-type operating system, it puts forward a kind of new-type data storage model (namely only constructs a data storage models—the file ), different from other operating systems in such aspects as storage, seeking the location of file system and the construction of the kernel. And, the embedded processor based on the ARM has already become the mainstream of developing the embedded product at present. With the wide application of ARM, to set up the embedded operating system based on ARM becomes present research fields too. More embedded operating systems already emerge now, for example VxWork , Windows CE of Microsoft , ARM Linux and uC/OS etc..The paper mainly sets up development environment on the basis of the ARM's system structure, Then on the basis of the kernel of SDSM operating system put forward, to analyze the characteristics of the kernel structure and the technology of BootLoader of the kernel of the operating system on ARM platform is given too, and further to analyze and research the function of memory management of the operating system, the technology of data structure, the changes of page frame state, the function of memory management and realizing etc.. On the platform of ARM , analyzing and researching the technology of memory management of ARM according to the characteristic of ARM's system structure, and studying the support to the technology of storage management of the operating system on ARM, includes mainly: How is it to the technology of virtual address translation and process context switch of the operating system on ARM platform, the further research work of the operating system is given in the conclusion of the thesis too.
