Design And Implementation Of Communication Testing Device Based On ARM-VxWorks Platform

The Integrated Navigation Display & Control Console (INDCC) is the kernel device of shipping navigation system, exterior communication interface is the message exchanging channal between INDCC and navigation device, affecting the well-balanced execution of shipping navigation task. Therefore, it is important of communication interface testing to INDCC. Navigation simulator should be configable aiming at the diversity about exterior device, communication protocol and channal of INDCC. The communication state and capability of INDCC should be tested when the function of Navigation simulator is performing. The device should be portable considering the demand of fieldwork. A communication testing device based on ARM-VxWorks platdorm could be designed, providing universal, configable and portable character to navigation simulator and providing the function of communication testing to INDCC.The dissertation is based on the theory of software engineering considering the characteristic of embed software. It gives the detail designing process about communication testing device based on ARM-VxWorks platform and the application reserch aiming at communication testing of INDCC. First, the article gives a detail introduce about the background, the design of structer and function, the requirement and the platform about the device; then it raises a proposal about the improvement of network protocol stack considering the function requirement and limitation of system, giveing a detail introduce about the designing process of device function; finally, it gives a test about the function of navigation simulator and communication testing aiming at INDCC.A series of test indicated that the communication testing device based on ARM-VxWorks platform could provide the universal and portable nature to navigation simulator, fulfill the communication testing of INDCC, thereby be applied in navigation experiment and capability testing effectively.
