The Integrated Navigation System (INS) is applied and popularized increasingly. In order to meet the demands of the developing market, realize the serialization of INS products and reach the modularization, extensibility and maintainability, we must upgrade INS. Based on the prupose, this thesis introduces the reanalysis and redesign of the core part of INS - the Integrated Navigation Display & Control Console (INDCC).This thesis introduces the basic theory, structure of INS and the functions of INDCC at first. The object-oriented analysis and design methodology, modeling tool - Unified Modeling Language (UML) and its Integrated Environment -Rational Rose are introduced too. INDCC is analyzed and designed by object-oriented methodology. The model of analysis and design is constructed by UML, thus the object-oriented frame of the system is built. In the course of system analysis, demand definition is made first, and then analyze the system in static and dynamic aspects in detail and a serial of analysis models of the system is made. In the course of system design, based on the production of analysis, the design is made in system plan and object design and a serial of design models of the system is made. Design patterns are introduced during system designing. Some typical examples of design patterns are enumerated combined with the design of INDCC. The meaning of object-oriented design behind design patterns is analyzed. We learn the collaboration and interaction of classes and objects of object-oriented software by studying design patterns.Object-oriented methodology used in system analysis and design is the dominating method in software development. The standardization and industrialization of software development and management will be realized if the object-oriented methodology and UML are applied in the development of real-time control system software. It will make for the serialization and modularization ofproduction and gives convenience for its upgrade, extension and maintenance.
