The hydraulic simulation turntable system is a non-linearity and time-dependent system, it is often with difficult to satisfy the control requests if use the conventional PID control algorithm. Because the established mathematical model is not precise, and considering the characteristics of fuzzy control, it will be more reasonable to use fuzzy variable to express the useful information of the turntable's control. Moreover, the information expressed by fuzzy signal is ample, along with the increase of fuzzy-rank total and the reasonable choice of membership function, the fuzzy variable can reflect the corresponding precise quantity and the characteristics similarly. Thus, it has vital significance to research the application of fuzzy control for the control system of the hydraulic simulation turntable.The main research content of this thesis is to introduce fuzzy control strategy into the control for the simulation turntable's position servo system, and enhance the control performance by unifying the PID control technology and the fuzzy control technology. In this thesis, firstly, each constituent part of the hydraulic simulation turntable system is introduced, then we have carried on illumination to the mechanism and the principle of work of the turntable, and the hydraulic system, as well as the electrically controlled system, the position counter-resolving arithmetic of the kinematics has given too. Secondly, the basic theory of fuzzy control involved have been dissertated, the commonly used methods of fuzzy relationship and fuzzy consequence are explained with emphasis; the design of fuzzy controller is specified. Thirdly, the structure of the simulation turntable fuzzy control system and the two-dimensional fuzzy controller are designed. According to the principle of fuzzy rules making, we have established fuzzy control rules for our system, and introduced two computational methods for fuzzy control query table. Then a Fuzzy-PI compound controller suitable for this system has been designed in detail.Finally, the software of the control system is designed, including up-computer (PC) monitoring software design and down-computer (DSP) control software design. The actual debugging experiments of two kinds of fuzzy-PI compound controller are carried on, and the experimental results are analyzed and summarized. The results indicate that the fuzzy-PI compound controller, which based on fuzzy switch, has realized the steady transition from one control mode to another kind of control mode, and reduced overshoot. Compared to conventional PID controller, the fuzzy-PI compound controller has obtained better active and static performance, increased the control precision, and enabled the system to have strong robustness.
