Turntable is a high accuracy testing and calibration equipment and it is widely used in inertial instruments and navigation systems, therefore the turnplate overall performance is weighs the inertial guidance test and the demarcation premise. The turnplate speed stability a key indicator to weigh the turntable performance and the tracking telescope, the photoelectricity resistance equipment and so on all has the extremely explicit request to it.So it has a very important significance for aerospace enterprise as well as enhancing national defense ability to study on control methods of improving the turntable speed stability and enhancing anti-interference ability for turntable.This article introduces the research background and significance of control methods for turnplate speed stability and summarizes various kinds of control methods put forward and applied by the scholars at home and abroad to ensure the turntable speed stability. With the single axis turntable in the lab as the control object, a brief introduction of the hardware and software system of the turntableis is made and we analyze the kind of influence factors on the speed stability of turntable and give the evaluations of the speed stability of turntabl.we build the model for the system and friction torque in order for the next phase of simulation.The article introduces these basic principles and the controller design process of the traditional PID control algorithm, fuzzy self-tuning PID control algorithm and the sliding mode variable structure control algorithm.Various factors influencing the turntable speed stability are regarded as outside interference, we propose to use the traditional PID controller, fuzzy self-tuning PID controller and the sliding mode variable structure controller. A simulation study was conducted in case of different disturbances and parameters and we discuss and analyze the simulation result in detail. It is proved that the three control methods are effective to improve the speed stability for the turntable.The object confirmed these three control algorithms have the very good compensation of these effects on infuncing speed stability of turntable and can make the turntable speed control system have the stronger anti-interference ability and robustness through writing the traditional PID control algorithm(position type and increment type), fuzzy PID control algorithm PID self-tuning and sliding mode variable structure control algorithm in the laboratory turntable.
