Research On Software Quality Metrics Based On CMM

Software quality metrics can be seen as an efficient way to improve the quality of software. Based on the CMM theory, the idea of uninterrupted improving process is introduced into the process of software quality metrics, models and tools of software quality metrics are researched in this thesis.Firstly, software quality and software metrics are introduced, and the existing software quality metrics models are analyzed. Metrics activities and metrics methods in CMM are researched. Based on the existing software quality metrics models, combined with CMM theory; a new software quality metrics model is designed. Software design theory and metrics criterion are included in this model. Software design theory is a way to contact child quality characteristic and software metrics metadata. With the development of software design theory, the model will get better and better. Metrics criterions give a standard to appraise the quantificational software quality metrics. It gives a way to measure the software quality quantificationally.At last, a metrics tool for object-oriented software quality metrics is degisned. The storage structure of object character and metrics index are the hardcore techniques of the tool. The design of two storage structure is given in this thesis. They are prepared to realize the software quality metrics tool. Based on data analysis, the process of measuring the software quality in this model is described.
