Design Of Man-Portable Soldier System Based On MiniGUI

With the rise of Linux technology, more and more enterprises and academic research institutes turn their steps to study and develope the embedded Linux. Linux can be revised and customized according to the special requirements of users. Furthermore, as a kind of free open source system it has several characteristics such as stabilization, high-efficiency, easy-customizing, easy-tailoring and supporting various hardwares etc.MiniGUI is a graphical user interface supporting system that faces specially to the embedded system. It has advantages in its small, Currnetly used and easily maintaintion. MiniGUI lies between the kernel and the application programs of software system. Now, it has already been developed into a riper embedded graphical supporting system which crosses different operating systems. At present, MiniGUI is mainly applied to fields that need embedded GUI technologies eagerly, for instance, medical equipment with embedded GUI, personal entertainment terminals, communication products and irrigation system for agriculture.The main ideal of the original model is associated with the modern war. So, The prototype of "Man-Portable Soldier System"(MPSS) which make up of the embedded system and MiniGUI development kit is based on the WLAN technology, embedded linux system, MiniGUI software and communication functional models.This dissertation firstly gives a whole design of the prototype model, secondly makes an illustration of the application of MiniGUI in MPSS, thirdly describes all of the fuctional models, fourthly explicates the designing and clipping of embedded Linux system, finally gives a summary of the keystones about the research and difficulties in the development, and some new targets of the future work.
