Website Evaluation Research Based On Information Architecture(IA) And Empirical Research

Since the Information Architecture (Information Architecture, listed IA) inducted in China, many academician researching on it. Under the age background of computer network, the domestic and foreign scholars have not reached a full consensus on the definition of IA. However, the application of the IA website—guiding construction of IA is the blueprint for building large sites. The research of website evaluation based on information architecture has achieved an adequate level. But the research of evaluating website according to the theoretical of IA has not reformed a large-scale. This article is accomplished just at such background.As the website of the carrier network information, the increase number of information and hyper-organized mode, increased the difficult access to information. People need "information of information" to guide trails. IA evaluation based on the website uses the indicator system to evaluate the information construction of website.This paper includes five sections. The first section , which provide the theroritical foundations for the later chapters in this paper, contain the history research progress and developmental course of IA , and the concept of website information architecture, the process and acceptation of website information architecture construction. The second section provides the methods foundations. It contains the abstract and generalization of current situation of website evaluation, and the usual valuation model based method, choosing the linear weighting method as the mathematical model. The third section analyses the structural of website IA from the organization system, navigation system, retrieval system, identification system and the disputed consumer experience, and choosing the library of Jilin University as empirical research. The force section is the core of this paper, can roughly be divided into three parts. It includes website IA appraisal system and the website comprehensive assessment method, choosing new and old library website of Jilin University. The third part is the comprehensive valuation of Jilin University library website. At the end, the writer pointed out the amelioration and the future direction on website of Jilin university library. The fifth chapter is the gather up of the full text. This chapter pointed out the innovation and the lack of the paper, and also pointed out the future of the research of website evaluation based on information architecture.
