Research And Development Of CAD System For Axial NC Cutter Based On Pro/E

In this paper, the principle, method and realized techniques of Pro/Toolkit are introduced. Three-dimension parametric CAD system about Axial NC cutter is established and three-party development is realized. This system can greatly improve the product's quality and shorten the design period. The main contents of the dissertation are as following:(1) The theories and method of rapid design is adopted, and the CAD/CAM total framework of Axial NC cutter is built up. With the method of oriented-object, the CAD total structure of Axial NC cutter is put forward which is faced to the process plan.(2) The method of parametric design is made use of and the three-dimension model of Axial NC cutter is established which is based on the software-Pro/E.(3) The key and applying technique of Pro/Toolkit three-party development is studied in the Axial NC cutter, and the backstage management of the database is finished.Through calling C language function, the communication of Pro/E,Pro/Toolkit and MFC is realized.The technique of database is applied in the system. The connection of Pro/E and outter data is achieved ,and the visiualized interface come true, so the products of meeting with the custom is developed.(4) The Finite Element Analysis method of the Pro/Mechanica is adopted to optimize the three-dimension model of Axial NC cutter. Through the static analysis and the sensitive analysis, the parameters are choosen which influence the rigidity greatly and are optimized in order to improve the product's capability.(5) The realized technique of CAD system is studied which is based on many kinds of softwares about the Axial NC cutter. Based on the three-dimension model, the proper softwares are choosen and the interface is adopted to realize their integration. The design and development of CAD system about the Axial NC cutter are finished.
