Grid is a new generation Internet based on the Internet technology, with many special characteristics. The goal of grid is to unite the whole Internet into a giant supercomputer, and sharing the entire resources of it. The education resources grid base on Internet, mainly by CERNET and famous universities, the duties of it is developing education resources, establishing the management environments of grid, providing services for the users.The paper propose the coarse grain division and the metadata storage and loose structure management of ER (Education Resources), to shield the complexity of ER, uniting characteristics of ERS (Education Resource System): the multiple and complexity of ER, the uniform of teaching rule and cognition, and uniformity of logical organization of ER.The paper divides roles of ERS into: consumer, governor, provider, and analyze the working pattern of them by the different ways of information flowing, correspondingly establishment the level proxy structure of ERS. It lightens the burden of resources proxy, balances the load of the system environment, and enhances the overall performance of the grid, by separating the storage and management of resources and metadata.The paper analysis basic requires and search management methods of education resource based grid, elaborates the process of resources request service and searching algorithm, and proposes the improvement methods of searching algorithm in practice.Finally, the paper introduces the tools and environment disposition of the grid development, elaborates the basic construction, the logical levels, the request and service process of education resources grid.
