The Research Of Resource Discovery In Grid Environment

As the third era of web application technology, the grid technology has a broadly developing future. And the research in this area has important meaning to our new science technology. The aim of grid is to find out the proper resources in the shortest time, and to make full use of it.The grid resources are distributed in the world, and they are dynamic to join or leave the virtual grid organizations. All these factors bring forward higher standard to the grid discovery and administration.First, this paper analyzes the concept, characteristic and system elements of grid. Second, the paper talks about the modern grid item-Globus. Thirdly, after analyzing the two familiar resource discovery methods, the paper brings forward a new method of finding grid resources. This resource discovery method is related with the metadata. By searching the metadata attribute of the nodes, we can find the proper grid scope. This makes our searching more pertinent. And at the same time, we provide the node proxy for our narrow bandwidth nodes, which greatly improve our searching efficiency. And we adopt the grouping method to divide the nodes into different groups. We have expanded the concept of grouping to searching space. After a particular expatiation of the new searching theory, and by comparing with the former resource discovery methods, we can find that this new resource discovery method has a higher efficiency than former ones.
