Software Test Management System For Medium And Small Company

With the development of software technology, developers and users desire higher software quality, so developers try to control software develop process with techniques and management methods in order to improve software products' pertinence and reliability as well as guarantee the software's usage value. Among so many software quality guarantee techniques, software testing is a decisive factor as a traditional, direct and effective approach. By now, the requirement for canonical and effective testing has become more and more exigent, especially for the medium and small company.In this paper, we discuss three aspects. Firstly we introduce the basic knowledge and methods of software testing, and then not only do we discuss and analyze the software testing process but also we bring forward a new process module named New-H module, which is fit for the medium and small company. Finally we build a software assurance tool — test management system which is based on the New-H module.The New-H model is based on W-MODEL, integrating the feedback theory of H-MODEL and process control of Test Maturity Model, especially taking iterative model into account in the interest of medium and small company. To apply our software process model, we build a testing tool — test management system. This tool aims at dealing with the document management, test case management, test case execution management and user authority. For defect management we make use of bugzilla, which is an open source tool. After test management system is used in software testing, not only can we test software product, but also we can evaluate software process, so we can assure software quality and promote the strength of medium and small company.
