Container Yard is an important link in the logistics system, with the rapid increasing throughput of port container, owing to the stack capable limitation of marshalling yard, management and construction for backup yard has been taken more and more attention by human, also bring unprecedented accident and challenge on backup enterprise's development. The utilization of yard could be improved only by taking scientific management and virtually layout yard operating system, and then the cost could be degraded and managers could gain more benefit.Container backup system is a complex system, which is composed of some interinhibitive and dynamic element, such as container, yard, handing machinery, horizontal transport machinery, communication facility as well as human resource, etc. Based on the deep analyses on the available port container operating system, survey and research the container yard's operating present status, according to the feature van pool, this article establish a machinery dispatch simulation system prototype based on multi-agent, and the system involve some kinds of different function agent, make a further exploration on intelligent software theory and means using in system simulation application. Machinery operating on van pool is priority object in our system, utilize the simulation modeling based on agent in our research. In the course of modeling, we emphases research following two-sided problem: ①Apply the based on agent modeling technology on van pool machinery operating simulation, and create machinery task cost mathematical model; ②Build up the system's prototype, and analyses simulation outcome.
