In the paper, the object of research is the monitoring system of Power Units based on Internet. According to the demands of the Power's supervision system and requirements of the remote fault diagnosis technology, we designed the real-time remote monitoring system of Power Units based on Internet(IRMS), and realize it.First, the status quo about the remote monitoring technology of Power plants in domestic and overseas are be studied; Second, some demands which were required in the developing process of Power plants, such as the actual backgrounds,character of striding across districts and data share of power plants, are be discussed; The last one, the key technologies such as data transport agent, dynamic data display and system security, are analyzed in this paper, too. According to these analysis, a new modular structure design idea and Web mode which is based on mixed B/S and C/S modes, are be brought forward. In allusion to the real-time character and security request of IRMS, data transport agent and Web server are be designed by use of VC++ programming language and active server pages (ASP) in this paper. And it realizes the functions of the Real-time monitoring system——remote monitor and real-time monitor, etc. Besides, a design scheme of data encryption which is to ensure the system safety for data transmission, is also be discussed in the paper.
