With the development of people's life and technology, the applications of embedded system are more and more implemented. Embedded system has included almost all electrical equipments of our lives, for examples: PDA,mobile computer device,set-top box,mobile phone,multimedia devices,microwave stoves,digital camera,air condition,etc. And at the same time, the remote controllers of these devices are more required. Most of the above devices have wireless remote controllers. This paper will design a PDA platform with self-learning remote control function. And also we can develop a lot of useful function on this platform.As the performance of an embedded system structure determines the extensibility of a system, maintainability, implement efficiency, etc. This paper describes a very nice embedded platform. First we analyze the target of this self-learning remote controller PDA platform and then provide the solution based on MPC823. This platform makes good use of the resources and specialities of MPC823, optimizes the construce and provides good extensibility. And also this paper discusses the theory of self-learning remote control and implementation flow. This paper tells the implementation of software also.This paper will illustrate the thinking and realization of hardware platform in embedded system developing based on the project of home PDA with self-learning remote control. And I will explain this based on my project to sumrize the embedded system hardware design and experience.
