HDMI(High Definition Multimedia Interface)is a digital interface developed from DVI(Digital Visual Interface). HDMI can transmit uncompressed high quality video and multi-channel audio signal and support HDCP(High Brandwidth Digital Content Protection). This papar is mainly about the ASIC design, simulaion and FPGA verification about the control system of HDMI, which include a DDC controller, and a slave I2c controller. It is the control path between the HOST, the HDMI transmitter and the HDMI receiver. So they are very important and any problem may lead the whole chip not to work. And since these three modules are about interface design, It is very hard to verify them. So we decide to do FPGA verification. And we introduce a high effective FPGA design method---incremental design. It will greatly reduce the runtime of FPGA design. Especially, it is more useful for debugging stage of the project.
