Research On IPTV Information Service

IPTV can be understood as interactive TV network, and this combination allows users to enjoy a higher service.According to a market survey, most user of IPTV are interested in video and information service.This paper design and implement an automatic news-providing system for IPTV.Internet is already quite perfect, so news websites abound.But most of all existing websites are designed for PC users.For IPTV STBs, diffrent built-in browsers are used.For various HTML labels,different browsers analysis different. Internet content can not create a good showing in IPTV STB.In order to provide a rich source of information for IPTV users,According to a variety of IPTV STB will produce the corresponding website, which clearly will create a lot of manpower,material inputs.If we make on the content of the Internet will be able to handle IPTV STB andIPTV would greatly reduce the operating cost,and it can attract more Internet content providers (SP/CP) take part in IPTV business to form a complete IPTV industrial chain.There is a difference between the IPTV information business and Internet browsing, So we need a solution that could make Internet information resources used by IPTV. This paper first do a great deal of research on IPTV STB, IPTV overall framework and information websites, and then find the fundamental characteristics of them. Based on the results of these studies, design a solution, which called automatic news-providing system. Its function is to automatically collect useful information content from the Internet's information websites,keep these information in database ,and demonstrate these information on IPTV STB. In implementing the system, using the J2EE technology, taking into account the J2EE's cross-platform and high stability characteristics. Finally, do some optimization works, conclude and prospect of the system.
