The Implement And Pivotal Technology Research Of IP STB Based On Embedded Linux

With the rapid development of economy and technology,Internet has brought a deep transformation to the job and life of human with its abundand resource,individual services and convenient method of communication.So people depend on internet more and more.The way of information communication which represents the future trends might have the character of real-time processing,mutual responding and media stream multiplexing.The research and realization of the technology of stream media have been the hotspot, and IPTV is one typical application of them.IPTVdelivers various interactive digital multimedia programs to families cross broadband network.People can also get news,information or trainning on this platform.IPTV has different business models from the old broadcast television because of its user-interactivity,extensibility and flexibility.IPTV is indubitably going to make a big market in the future.In IPTV system,users watch VOD or seek information with set-top-boxes.In this paper,we introduce the background and status in quo of IPTV,and the pivotal technology of IPTV:MDN,DRM,EPG,IPSTB,researched the schema and core of embedded browser, and made a particular research on its submodules.In succession,we described the schema design of IP STB software,and the implement of mainctrl,player,browser,system-config page.Finally,summary is derived,which points out the merits,shortcomings and future work of this design,and prespects the future of the IP STB.
