Research And Implementation Of Encapsulating Mainframe Operation Logic Based On Web Technology

Today, the information technology develops very fast. But the character terminal on the mainframe still unchanged for several decades. On the one hand, users who are using beautiful and easy interface become hard to accommodate the bald character terminal. On the other hand, the user familiar with mainframes becomes little and little. This also makes the complicated operations under character terminals need to be improved.Based on the situation, a solution that enables enterprises to move business logic from the mainframe to web browser is drew out in this paper. This solution adapts the popular web technology nowadays to implement the demand and is based on the J2EE architecture. In the solution, the common MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture is analyzed first, then an extended architecture named EMVC (Extended MVC) is drew out for this kind of application. After that, some key methods and problems involved to the solution such as the encapsulation of the business logic on the mainframe, the resolution of communication between application server and the mainframe, the buffering design on the mainframe, and the design of presentation layer using AJAX(Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) [25] technology are all deeply studied.At the end of this paper, the implementation of a mainframe operation management system is discussed based on the solution above.
