Software Development Of ATM System Based On IBM Mainframe

With the rapid change of science and technology,net information is widespread thatbank business is constantly increasing.To satisfy the growing needs of customers,savelots of time, improve the efficiency of bank business and reduce the staff’s heavyworkload.It is necessary to take advantage of Mainframe platform which owns thepowerful ability to handle the large quantities of data and ensures both the informationbe safe and the system be stable at the same time.As a result this is a design for ATMsystem.This thesis is a software design based on software engineering developmenttheory.To achieve this ATM system software design, both Mainframe Platform andZ/OS operating system are applied,together with several technologies,forexample,COBOL programming language,JCL language,CICS and DB2,etc.All thesetechnologies are combined to achieve the main function of ATM system,likedeposits,withdrawals,transfers and query functions,etc.At the beginning of this thesis,itis a simple introduction to the ATM system.Then there is a detailed description aboutthe Mainframe platform used by various ATM functions together with the keytechnology.The method to determine each of the functional module is to analysis everyfunctional requirement about ATM system.When designing the ATM system,the designfor the structure of functional module is based on requirement analysis,on whichdetailed analysis can be applied to the various functional modules.In addition,detaileddatabase design has been applied in the thesis,including the data’s type andattribute.During the achievement of the ATM system design,it is the detailedachievement method for each functional module.Finally,to achieve the ATM designbased on IBM Mainframe platform,sub-module test,edge test and some exceptionhandling tests are used together with the overall debugging method.By the design of ATM system based on Mainframe platform,it is able to achievedifferent kinds of business in banks.By this means,some familiar business could deliverto Mainframe system.So this design can also take advantage of human-computerinteraction. Not only could it save lots of time,but it could also be much easier toreduce the staff’s workload and support our daily life.
