In this paper,the basic concept of voice processing is first introduced, including the category of voice process and its development trend.Then in chapter two the technology of voice signal process is introduced in detail, including LPC,CELP and MP-LPC etc.G.723.1(6.3/5.3kbit/s)and G.729(8kbit/s)are the low bit rate of voice coding standard provided by ITU-T, which can be used for network ,wireless and satellite communication. Both of them use ABS technology for voice compress.The emphases of this paper is research and realization of the low bit rate standard on G.723.1 and G.729.This paper introduce the architecture of G.723.1 and G.729 in detail and compare the difference of them. In this paper, the platfrom for realization is DSP(TMS320C6416),CODEC(TLV320AIC23).We optimize the arithmetic and the code to make sure the voice processing in real-time.At last, the main flowchart and DSP interrupt flowchart are put forward,and relative solutiongs on how to decrease the complexity of vocoders are given.
