The high-price female fashion magazines are the shining points in the magazines' market. Vogue China started publication in Aug., 2005. Ray, Cosmopolitan and ELLE (All are Chinese edition.) were the Big Three. Now the four magazines are contending for supremacy. In the face of Vogue China's publication, other high-price female fashion magazines took emergency measures. This paper analyzes the situation of high-price female fashion magazines' market in 2005 and the similarity behind their competition. From the aspects of content and brand strength, this paper illustrates the competitive edge of Vogue China in detail. It uses SWOT to analyze the chances and challenges, which Vogue China will meet in the future. At last, this paper shows some enlightenment that we can gain from the publication of Vogue China.
