Long-distance pipeline is transportation carrier of oil and natural gas, it is very important to ensure the safety of its transportation. If the pipeline is directly put into production failure of drying treatment, the hidden problem will be caused for the safe operation of pipeline, even resulting rather serious accident of clogging and shutdown. The method of pipeline drying includes desiccant drying, dry air drying, vacuum drying and etc, among of which vacuum drying is the most difficult in technique. The reason is that the pumping speed of vacuum pump used for drying will vary with the falling of pipeline pressure and it is a dynamic process, as well as the temperature drop on pipeline will occur as mass moisture evaporate. In order to predict the water content in pipeline and drying time, plan out reasonable progress schedule for carrying out project, the expert system software of vacuum drying on long-distance pipeline has been programmed.The software reckons the relevant nominal pumping speed and effective pumping speed curve according to different vacuum pump sets. The process of vacuum drying in study is divided into three phases and separately computes drying time, adding up to obtain total time.The software programming idea based on the practicality has been reasonably assumed and given consideration of the corrective coefficient under different vacuum degree, adopted integration to meet the required accuracy and plot drying curve at different stage.The software attempts to easy serviceability by inputting the related operation data in user, such as pipe diameter, pipe length, temperature, discrete point of pumping performance curve of vacuum pump sets and etc, it will be able to finish the calculation of pumping time immediately.This software has been tested and put into practice, matching with field operation very well. It is considered as relatively successful forecast software for pumping speed time of vacuum drying on the long-distance pipeline.
