The building automatic control system is the main branch of the control system and the network is the master technological method of the building automation. Firstly, this paper introduces the basic character of building automation network system, the network architecture and the connection between them. Then the general standard survey of building automation network is given and the solution of the open system is illuminated. The MPEG-4 mode video server is applied to store and transfer the image. Through video server of the network, the video can be expediently order programmed and the video of network is conveniently watched. Compared with the mode of MPEG-1 and MPEG-2, the advantage of MPEG-4 mode is proved and the process of its encoding is expounded.According to the architectural characters of the museum, a design proposal of digital video monitoring system based on network is used and implemented. Aimed at the digital character of the monitoring system and the network transmission requirement of the whole process, the project for video network transmission is designed. The network transmission project is accomplished by the chosen of mutual combination between point-to-point optical transmitter and receiver technology and SDH technology. The point-to-point optical transmitter and receiver is applied in direct switch-in system (from aggregate point to some center directly), however, the VOX whole digital audio and video transmission platform is used in multi-centers systematic networking. Several network topological structures are given at the same time and the self-recover circle is adopted in this paper.Based on the above projects, the digital monitoring for the museum is carried out. The effect picture of the video monitoring control system is presented and the availability of the project is demonstrated. The video monitoring control system for the museum is generalized in the end.
