Viscosity is a kind of measurement, which is used to reflect flow resistance in the liquid. Now viscosity measurement is used widely in some fields, such as industries, medicines and civil lifes. For example, in the medicine field, viscosity measurements of blood are becoming an important diagnosis measures of some diseases, such as brain vas and heart vas. In petrochemistries, base oil viscosity has become an important parameter in transportation of base oil's pipeline too. Viscosity has significant in quality discrimination of all kinds of lube and determine all kinds of fuel oil's combustibility. In petroleum exploration, artesian well liquid viscosity has great aspect to life of drill stem. The measurements of viscosity play a big role in weave, food production, pharmacy too. So it has great economical and social benefit to get viscosity on time and nicety.The traditional viscosity meters have a lot of kinds, such as tubule viscosity meter, falling viscosity meter or so, these viscosity meters have a lot of shortcomings, such as heavy, not convenient to be taken; producing difficulty and high price; what's more, it needs rigorous testing time, it is too difficult to control on time.This paper bases on when quartz crystal sensor in liquid is effect by liquid resistance, it increases not only equivalent inductance, but also equivalent resistance. It bases on the traditional viscosity meters'problems, synthesizing piezoelectricity, electronics and SCM technology, designs a new driving response quartz crystal viscosity sensor. When high frequency excites quartz crystal in liquid, equivalent resistance change causes the signal of sampling resistance breadth's change. And equivalent inductance change causes the difference between the signal phase and driving signal. We can use the relationship between breadth change and phase differences and the liquid viscosity , get the result of liquid viscosity.This paper analyses the resistance speciality of quartz crystal in liquid, and bases on this theory as the proof of sensor.
