In order to make up the deficiency of traditional gas sensors which has a low accuracy in gas detection. This paper uses quartz crystal microbalance gas sensor for hazards gas detection. During the experiment, improved by coating process, pin-coating developed independently. And the film which is coated by spin-coating machine has a uniform surface. In the air installation, using the static plastic intake method which as far as possible eliminate the interference of the environment factors. It records the test results by QCM gas sensor frequency testing process which is based on LabVIEW platform. The experiments were done at a uniform temperature. It studies seven films' response characteristic of the quartz crystal microbalance gas sensor for xylene gas and n-hexane gas. It is mainly to test their response, stability, repeatability, and the line sexual relations of the frequency response of the different concentrations gas. And it tests the experimental results of water vapor. From the analysis of experimental data, it achieve the following conclusions:the titanium dioxide film has the best responsiveness and repetitiveness on p-xylene gas and n-hexane gas, and it has a high stability; water vapor has a very well frequency response on the quartz crystal microbalance gas sensor, that can conceal the frequency response of dangerous gases. So during the experiment, the exclusion of water vapor must be ruled out. Titanium dioxide film membrane has a good linear relationship with different concentrations of n-hexane gas in frequency response.
