| In this paper, a PLC-based remote automatic reading meter system in the prepayment vending management system of Accra, the capital of Ghana, was researched and realized. At present, PLC is used widely in the world, such as street lamp control, sickroom calling, and so on. It has close relation with the features of PLC, such as easy realization, low investment, high efficiency, and low operation & support cost, etc. The research of meter reading using PLC is more than practical application, because PLC has a bad anti-jamming ability, and there is a lot of jam on the power line. It is similar to the jam of IP network (time delay, jitter, packet loss rate). On the base of the latest research results and practical experience of a long-term application, the author of this paper mainly researched the realization of PLC reading system in prepayment power system and network management technology in PLC reading system. At the same time, PLC devices and communication methods between them were researched. |
