With the development of the society, more and more attention is paid on the comfort and speediness of the window service industries. Orderly queuing can, not only make customers feel relaxed, but also improve the efficiency. The queue management system is invented to suit this status. The system utilizes modern electronics, network communication technology and computer information management technology; makes efficient queue management for the customers.The detail research in the field of queue management system has been given in this paper, such as its development status, the operating procedures and the features. According to the traditional queue management system, an approach based on power line communications solution is presented. The system has a high practical value and broad market application prospects, and can be widely applied in the places need for queue management such as banks, hospitals, and so on.The system adopts the power line as communication media. That is to say that it needs"No Wire"in the field setting.In the design of power line carrier communication model, SSC P300 which is based on spread spectrum communication and CEBus protocol is adopted. Also, 89C51 micro controller is chosen to construct the basic communication unit with SSC P300. It could cut down the cost of the system, as well as achieve a favorable performance in communication. The 51 series micro controller is chosen in the system hardware design. So a more stable and effective system will be established with a lower cost. Meanwhile, an interface is reserved for management software.In system software design, all of the software can work in a single MCU except the management software. So that the system can execute independently from computer. After systematic design and debug, the power line communication model can implement each function basically, satisfy the requirement generally.
