At present, Virtual Instrument is a hot technology in the field of measurement and control, which is the full combination of computer technology, instrument technology and other technologies. It uses the powerful function of computer, universalized and standardized hardware modules and software to perform the functions of system. Virtual Instrument represents a fundamental shift from traditional hardware-centered instrumentation systems to software-centered systems. Applying virtual instrument technology with powerful analysis process and control function to analytical instrument and chromatography workstation can prevent the defect of limited analysis methods and bad flexibility, and enhance dramatically new intelligent instrument development in progress and depth. So it is a future direction of instrument technology. The dissertation refers to the CX8800 chromatograph development project developed by Nanjing Nanfen Analyzer Limited Company and Automation College of Nanjing University of Technology, combines virtual instrument and analytical instrument, achieves chromatography workstation.This dissertation contains six chapters. The first chapter introduces briefly Virtual Instrument, chromatography workstation, significance of the topic and the task performed by the author.The second chapter introduces the process of development for data acquisition system including the design of hardware and software. In the aspect of hardware, the PXI bus hardware module is chosen. And in the aspect of software, we use LabVIEW as development tool, which simplify the process of design.Noise reduction for the chromatogram data acquired is explored in the third chapter. After comparing several methods of denoising, we choose wavelet transform. In this part, Elementary theory of wavelet transform is introduced firstly.
