The Research Of Application Of Web Data Warehouse In OAS

With assistance of some computer software and hardware, OAS utilizes advanced WEB technology to complete parts of official businesses. These equipments of software and hardware together with office workers are composed of man-machine information management system for certain aims to offer enterprise a well-effect work circumstance and to realize sufficient share of information and resources. Data warehouse is the foundation of higher decision-making of enterprise. The web data warehouse is integrated by data warehouse and web, which introduces the technology of web to construct data warehouse. So web data warehouse has more advantages such as easy accessing, independence of OS, lower cost of building and management, and easy upgrade, etc. By importing web data warehouse to OAS, we can construct an effective office decision-making system, which is not limited by space. The research on this field is very valuable.In this paper, firstly, we simply introduce the functions, significance and current research situation of OA. Then, we expatiates the concept, architecture and development of web data warehouse, the theory and technology of OLAP and data mining which are based on web data warehouse. Meanwhile, we describe data organization and data structure of web data warehouse and development of web technology. The emphases of this paper are discussing how to build OAS and the application of web-based data warehouse in OAS. Based of the result, we put forward a basic framework of OAS and embed web data warehouse system into OAS. Finally, taking document receiving and dispensing subsystem of OAS for instance, we build an OAS using the technology of web data warehouse. In the process of designing the system, we use UML to modeling. The implementation of the system is based on B/S architecture, and adopting XML to store data, which make it easy to convert of different kinds of data.
