The Development Of Software For Configuring Train Communication Network

With the rapid development of technology in high speed train, the development and research of train communication network attract more attention. The software of train communication network configuration is intended for configuration of communication systems in trains which are based on standards IEC 61375-1 and UIC 556, for on line parameterization of devices according to this IEC standard and TCN/UIC gateway TCN-GW01 especially. The software realizes the initialization of the whole communication system in train.The software includes means of definition of devices and their properties, which are focused on communication aspect, means of definition of binding of variables, definition of telegrams, their structure, timing of transmission, routing, PDM, etc.This paper is on the base of the development of train communication network, introduces some basic knowledge about train communication network, and explains the definition of computer network. It makes an introduction of the application background of TCN (Train Communication Network), and describes the process of development and design. With the tool of Microsoft Visual C++, the system adopts the client/server mode to realize remote configuration. The system use ADO technology to access database, communicate through Internet and serial port.This paper makes a detailed introduction on both developing principle, focuses on how to realize the system function, features especially, and shows the real structure of the system. The client software provides GUI (Graphic User Interface) to manage data stored in database. With the software, users can add, delete and update parameters. Furthermore, the client software can communicate with server software through TCP/IP. The server software can respond the requirement from client to build connection between the client and server. The server listens to the port and activate as soon as it receives command from the client. The simulated software is intended for testing the realization of communication.
