Design And Development On Business Management System Of PHS Using Oracle Database

1. IntroductionWith the intensification of the communication market competition, traditional telephone service is unable to adapt to the telecom business development. As"the complementarity and prolongation of the telephone service", PHS has become the transition which from traditional telephone service to corresponding products of 3G. So we must use a new advanced technology to build the operation support system to improve the business management. This paper,"Design and Development on Business Management System of PHS using Oracle Database", is just designed to meet the need of the operator's business. PHS is the business management system, which is based on Oracle database platform, and comprises admissibility of business, resource management modules, integrated query module ,marketing information management module,integrated query module, automatic stop or boot module, and integrated write code module.2. Research Content(1) Database platform is the core of the entire business management system scheduling management. The performances of Database directly affect the system implementation and functions. This paper worked out the overall structure of the system and the function. Oracle is chosed to be the designing and development platform of database management system. Discuss the theory of the database standardization, and work out database design according to the process of database development. And get the enterprise information flow by using the telecom enterprise information flow as the main line and investigating the enterprise organization, business processes and information flow. Based on the function of the system demand, information need and application requirement developed the flow charts and data flow diagram of PHS business management system business. Building the functional model to PHS business management systems based on the user requirements analysis. Design the internal module system, and finish the logic design database according to the functional model and the analysis system results. Establish business management system database distribution model, the internal division between database tables, table definition of the specific logical structure which including field names, related attributes and length, and the association of view structure. Based on the characteristics of PHS business, develop a reliable, stable and efficient telecommunication database platform.(2) Study the security development of the current database system. With a view to the security threat, research the threat of database safety and the key requirements of database security from multi-angle, do the researches on the role of management competence, access control and database backup and restore, and other key security technology using the Oracle database, and design the system security policy based on the technical and theoretical discussions. Adopt the user privilege management, access control and storage of encryption technology to ensure data consistent and integrate. Use backup tool of RMAN to design the database backup strategy of PHS business management system(3) The core modules of PHS include business admissibility module, resource management modules, integrated query module Marketing Information Management module, module statements. The Core modules real-time, dynamically process large amounts of data, finishes the dynamic data interaction, classify the statistical data, and make the decision analysis. With the business mode development, the expansion of the scale, and the rising levels of application procedure complexity, the traditional soft has many shortcomings, which are lack of extensibility, can not be reused code, and the system upgrade maintenance is difficult. This paper used the three-tier system architecture of B/S (browser / server) structure to design and develop the PHS business management systems. Building the middle layer of database server, closely connect the database architecture with Web technology, thus formed the three-tier structure of the Web browser / server database system. Using the development tools, Oracle Jdevelop, design and develop the core module of PHS business management system, finish the admissibility of business, resource management, information access, marketing support and statistical functions statements. The system play a important role in the support to PHS business development. It is advanced in the theory and practical application.(4) Whit the development tools, Visual C + + and the application of MFC, use ODBC to finish the database connectivity, build the control management modules, the automatically stop/startup of Control module and PHS write code module. This module uses the serial data communications to complete dynamic interaction between database and PHS, which greatly reduces the manual workload of the operation, minimizes the risk of errors, enhances the system's stability, and improve the system efficiency and service levels.(5) Based on the system of monitoring, after analyzing and judging the bottleneck of the system, this paper makes the adjustments from the next six aspects: system throughput adjustment; the system response time adjustments; the user capacity systems adjustments; system fault tolerance adjustment; data loading period adjustment. Optimize the performance of the designated types of SQL, memory and capacity of subsequent user with manifold technology. Through adjust and optimize the performance of the system, we reached the goal of toning up the capacity of subsequent solution, reducing the system response time and improving the holistic performance.3. ConclusionThe project of"Design and Development on Business Management System of PHS using Oracle Database", which was started at May 2003, has a stable and efficient system, and has good rate of performance and cost. It plays an important effect for the development of PHS service in fuxin, and promote the economic of fuxin. It has high value of practice. It is also a good example for the researchers in the field to develop systems for business.
