With the development of computers technology and communication technology information times and the board application of Internet. Embedded System is leading another technological revolution. Many universities, graduate schools and companies are researching on Embedded System and its applications. Because of open source codes, perfect performance, powerful, low price, Embedded Linux is a very good choice for an Embedded Operations System.With the rapid development of wireless mobile technology, computer technology and Internet technology, especially the wide application of GPRS technology and the release of 3G license, wireless mobile technology is increasingly getting potential markets . Research in remote video supervision based on wireless mobile telecommunication technology has been done in this thesis.This dissertation introduces the present study situation and further development of monitoring system at home and abroad. Based on the theories of Internet communication, the total solution and the communication protocol of the system are discussed in details. According to the function requirements of the monitoring system, the total scheme of this system is designed.With the popularization of the USB interface, a lot of embedded applications start to think integrating USB port into systems. One part of the applications is designed as PC peripherals, the other is designed as USB host in order to use the peripherals. The USB host takes up the core position in the USB system architecture. Each USB data transfer is initiated and controlled by the host. Every USB device can only connect to the host and can not communicate with each other directly. The embedded USB host technology will solve the problem that embedded systems are not able to make use of USB devices.The thesis presents the author's work in development of Embedded Arm-Linux Operating System for his graduate degree.Most of the thesis focus the important technique at the porting the Embedded Linux to ARM platform .The application GPRS software and driver are developed based on the Embedded Linux operating system. The related questions and codes are analyzed and solved in the PPP procedure .The system testing is proved to have the characteristics of wireless transmission, low cost, stabilization and always-online , It meets the expected requirement.
