Research And Implement Of GPS Monitoring Terminal Based Of ARM-Linux And GPRS

The combination of embedded technology and GPRS,GPS brings about new changes: the aim of wireless monitoring of conventional data terminal has come true, such as monitoring system on GPS in-car, wireless telemonitoring system for agricultural on-site environment information, monitoring system for navigation mark, etc. The terminal of such system has several common features: firstly, monitoring terminal itself is an intelligent device; secondly, the terminal should tell location measured by GPS to the supervision center; thirdly, the terminal cann't get on to Internet with wire ,and should get on to Internet by GPRS.The thesis mainly studies the theories of GPS wireless monitoring terminal and implementation technique. It brings forward a terminal's design sketch of hardware and software through utilizing the sophisticated existing wireless networks GPRS and embedded cpu ARM. The system mainly completed collecting data from GPS and transferring data wirless by GPRS. It includes four parts: 1,transplantation of PPP dial-up programs-pppd and chat.2,modification of dial-up scripts.3,the multi-process synchronization mechanism serial-corn programing.4,programming used socket and implement data transfer wireless network between terminal and monitoring center.The design is accomplished on Red Hat Linux 9.0 operating system and Li Yutai ARMSYS2410 development platform. Software section was fulfilled by Linux C. With integration of solid theory and material practice, the thesis gives a specific design and preliminary implement of the monitoring terminal, and uses monitoring demo of the server in the laboratory to carry on the complete system design and the preliminary realization of simulation.
