Design And Implementation Of College Document Management Information System

College Document Manage System (CDMS) aims to improve management efficiency of college and this system drives from Software College of Shandong University. College management mainly includes students' and teachers' information management. The management system of students and teacher implements college human resources management which characterized scientific, informative and network connected. CDMS satisfies data share requirements via network between different departments. CDMS improves the campus informative construction of Software College of Shandong University.In the phase of requirement analysis, we researched the process of students cultivation and teachers management. This project adopts Rational Unified Process (RUP) as software development method, Unified Modeling Language (UML) as description language, J2EE as develop architecture. The system includes four subsystems: students' document management, teachers' document management, information collection and document report forms. The system is an management information system based on B/S and C/S combined architecture.This paper analyzes the background of this system, nowadays situation of college management system and document management system, then concludes questions need to be solved. System overall architecture, requirement analysis, architecture design and representative detain design and implement are described. At the end of the paper, we analyzes and discusses some key questions in the process of system implement.The key questions of the paper are as following:1 , The implement of B/S and C/S mixture architecture.Taking into account of the features of multi-platforms and different kinds of users including students, teachers, leaders, managers, we adopt B/S and C/S mixture architecture. We choose J2EE architecture from B/S solutions as B/S architecture given the characters of users' requirement and the system. MVC framework is constructed by STRUTS. Persistent layer is established by Hibernate. This architecture reduces the development cost and improves maintainability and expansibility.2, Design reasonable and reliable databaseDatabase design is a key problem of management information system design. In this paper, we transform concept model into object oriented model and then transform object oriented model to physical model. In this way, the reasonable database structure is constructed.3, Multi- techniques are adopted in information collectionWe add some information collection techniques to our system in order to solve problems of old document files, such as too little content and presentation inconvenient. These information collection techniques satisfy the data share demands of other systems and enhance the utilize of information.4, Automatic generation of document report formsUsing iReport and jasperReport techniques, this paper implements remote fill, automatic generation, preview, print, download, export function of business table.
