As the development of automation technology and computer science, the cigarette auto-sorting system are applied more and more extensively in cigarette distribution center to accomplish the sorting work efficiently and accurately. During the sorting process, the parameters of various sorting equipments influence the whole system's sorting efficiency. So through the research of each kind of sorting equipments' characteristic, we can choose the better sorting strategy and set the proper parameters for equipments. Then the sorting equipments can cooperate with each other by which we can achieve the aim of improve the sorting efficiency.The research object is the cigarette sorting system of one city. Firstly, through testing the equipments which are made of the sorting system, I confirmed the key parameters, which are Pop-up Time of cigarette, Pushing Time of cigarette, Supplying Time of cigarette, Sorting Belt Speed and Concourse Speed. According to the sorting characteristic of Single Belt and Two Channels Sorting, model the sorting action of every equipment of the system , bring the slim sorting strategy and present the Ordinal Concourse Mode and Crossing Concourse Mode.Then, through designing a simulation program, simulate the sorting condition of different sorting policies. The main actions of simulation are cigarettes fall on the belt from sorting machine, and cigarettes move forwards in the belt and pass the concourse part. In the program, the key parameters can be set manually. And the program supplies the function of analyzing the simulation results. In this way, the program can supply some help in everyday task for the workers in cigarette distribution.Finally, orders are classified by ABC classify of EIQ analysis method. Different kinds of orders are simulated, obtained the result of simulation. The result shows that the optimization model is more obvious for the Class A order. Then through extend the ABC classify, relating the classification to the amount and sort characteristic of the orders. The result shows that the optimization model is more obvious for the orders for which the lying sorting equipment works continually. All the classifications of the orders show that in the Slim Sorting mode, the delay is shorter and the efficiency of the system is higher. The Ordinal Concourse Mode is better than the Crossing Concourse Mode. Through the test for various kind of key parameters, the result shows that the relationship of Sorting Belt Speed and Concourse Speed influence the efficiency obviously. Shortening the Pop-up Time of cigarette and Supplying Time of cigarette will improve the sorting efficiency.
