With the development of IT in the domain of automatism, several limitations of old close control systems are revealed as follows: poor function, appropriative interface, inflexible structure. However, new process-control systems composed of standard and open software/hardware platforms show their great advantages.According to the specialty of OPC technology, we put forward a design of OPC-based distributed control system and discussed design and implement of OPC Data Access Server/Client and methods of its being integrated into monitoring software platform. The design and implement of tele-monitoring on Internet/Intranet applying OPC, ActiveX and XML are also discussed in this thesis.Because of the opening, the application layer protocol MODBUS has been applied at large in the industry monitor and control field. The thesis analyzes the characteristic of the primary methods, the network infrastructure of the control systems that are widely applied, the operating mechanism of the present MODBUS/TCP.Via analyzing the performance of the new gateway based queuing theory in diverse conditions, the new gateway has manifest better real time response than present gateway when too much TCP connection.At last, At last, This thesis studies the implements of key technique in digital media server, which is an embedded Web server supported by Internet. It integrates multiple functions including: real-time video gathering, video transmitting, picture capturing and sending out by multiple ways, device controlling and GIS information issuing etc. The mechanism of multistage buffering has been adopted in this serve, so it is high-efficient and stable, and can support several dozen users to visit simultaneously. It also has friendly interface which facilitate users to operate.
