This dissertation has studied the principles, characteristics and technical development of the high-frequency electrotome clinically applied the most, and demonstrates that the use of argon controller serves to settle the problem of coagulation of traditional electrotomes, the crucial being modulating and controlling the flow of argon. The dissertation analyzes the relationship between the outflow of argon and the gas pressure both in and out of the chamber, proposes a method of flow control by measuring the chamber gas pressure. The air route is meant to stabilize the input and output of gas. The Motorola single-chip computer being the core of the argon subsystem, the transducer obtaining the input information, the data-processor processing the information concerned, the operating organization employing the express switch valve in the mode of PWM. The design of the software accomplishes the fault tolerant data acquisition, and improves the PID algorithm together with its safety and alarm system. The powerful man-machine interface brings further convenience to the modulation and accumulation of clinical data. Finally, with an assessment board for modulation, the author achieves to work out a set of relatively high intelligent solutions to the argon flow control with accountability, safety, and full functions.
