The Method Of Manufacturing Information Retrieval Form Design Models

The integration of CAD/CAPP is an important part .Because they are independent to each other and concern on different information and representation models, there is no practical method to integrate them till now. How to efficiently communicate among different CAX systems is one of the most critical issues of product lifecycle modeling. While the suspending necessity of industrial field, feature mapping is considered as the key technology to solve the problem.By analyzing the main problems, this paper made some research about the following key technology:1) Following the feature-based modeling technology development and the requirement of CAD/CAPP integration of environmental, constructing a model which can support feature of life cycle;2) Under STEP standard, constructing a feature model which don't based on practical system, in order to finish a perfect transformation from design to manufacture;3) Based on analyzing the standard of AP214 & AP224 which belongs to STEP, constructing an artificial interface module that is use for connecting CAD/CAPP systems;4) Making a in-depth research about the problems that transmitting communication of geometric feature in CAD\CAPP systems;Because CAD\CAPP compositive system is a complex software, there are lots of detail need a farther improvement.
