With the rapid development of science and technology, CAD/CAPP/CAM integrated technology is increasing seriously. CAPP is the bridge to connect CAD and CAM. Therefore, in order to achieve the CAD/CAPP/CAM integration, first of all to complete the integration of CAD and CAPP Information integration is the key of CAD/CAPP integration, namely, to achieve information sharing between CAD and CAPP, the output of CAD system is the input of CAPP system. Feature-knowledge modeling technology opens up a new path for the realization of CAD/CAPP integration.The article takes the complicated Box Part as the research object. Based on the analysis, summary of the feature traditional definition and classification, makes definition and classification of Box Part's shape features, and by identifying feature of decomposition, construct knowledge model of feature processing technology, realize representation and classification of the feature processing technology knowledge. At the same time, takes the related knowledge to the system feature processing knowledge database, achieves the integration of feature and knowledge. The topic proposes multi-level description method, makes full description of feature-knowledge information of the Box Part, constructs the feature-knowledge information database. As a result, makes a further foundation for CAPP processing design. The topic makes Box Part's feature-knowledge information model as the basic unit to link CAD system and CAPP system. It proposes structure of the system design for the Box Part CAD/CAPP integrated system. At the same time, makes structure design and modular design for CAD subsystem.The article is designed for three-dimensional feature-knowledge hybrid Box Part system, which makes for CAPP processing design. The system is designed in platform CAXA, and uses Visual C++6.0 as development language. System is based on Windows XP operating system, using Microsoft Access database to manage the data, with a friendly user interface.
