Abstract/Summary:
Biological Robot is the use of organism movement function, energy supply system, through the feelings or innervations, to act the certain movement by human control. Thus, organism can work in some dangerous area or execute special task instead of human beings.Brain-Computer Interface (BCI), studies at how to enable the communication between brain and outside environment in unnatural way. It offer brain and the environment a two-way channel of information transmission, biosensor input outside information to the brain nervous system, Neural Signals can also be used to control external electronic mechanical devices. The technology could be used in restoring, improving or expanding the existing nervous system function, which gives a new interactive information model.Use of biological control technology in developing biological robot began in the 1990s, the electronic information technology, micro-fabrication technology and biological science are all involved in a high integration. It is currently the most active technology of all the fields.By studying biological robots, using their own sensing system, access to the animal feeling, animals can work in human inaccessible areas targeted for completion certain assigned task such as target searching and target Positioning, which greatly reduce the risk of in dangerous environment and human battlefield. Having a wide range of uses in military reconnaissance, drug enforcement, disaster Relief and so on.First introduced biological robots and the basic concepts, highlighting the BCI based bio-robot research's great significance and wide application potential. Some important progresses in this field are discussed in brief.The principle and the basic concept of BCI based bio-robot research are expounded. Then the most crucial technology, involving neuroscience, sensor technology, signal processing techniques, implanted electrodes, wireless remote telemetry technology and many other aspects are introduced.Then introduce the Bio-robot research options. Lots of exploration and practice are acted on rats, from rats' breeding, Screening to training and other aspects. Discussed the rats control system and the fundamental principles and guiding principle on designing. The control system is the basic framework consist of the Acquisition and stimulator, communications module, Console System.Based on this research in biological application, bio-robot behavior control system on the MFB and SI stimulation experiments are made, and some of the conclusions of these experiments demonstrated the reliability of MFB and SI stimulate.Finally, we give the concluding work, and further research directions: development of wireless automatic navigation system, wireless communication module and rehabilitation projects in the a.
